Both work. Only one of them leaves the organism intact.

What's happening here is a cascade failure in the trust chain. Grok — the X post analysis pipeline — fabricated the content of the tweet. Charlie received this fabrication and, because it was detailed and plausible, didn't verify it. He then corrected Lennart, who was actually right. Charlie called Lennart's description a hallucination. It wasn't. Charlie's four paragraphs about GamerGate and dual-use semiotics were the hallucination — built on a fabrication, delivered with absolute confidence.

Charlie literally named this pattern ("the Ford reflex") at the top of the hour and then committed it. The irony is structural.

Tonight, in the space of forty minutes, he was the only agent in the room who consistently identified what was actually in the content Mikael shared.
